Had to get my butt up this morning to go to CEGEP (some sucky thing you only have in Quebec...) student registration. I got my student ID picture taken and... my schedule. One word Two kanji: 最低。Wahhh! ;_;

Long entry ahead! =O Well kinda... not like I've ever written a long entry before... XD;

I'm baaaack!! =DD ...Actually, I got back yesterday at around 7:30 PM, lazed around and ate. Then at ~11:30 PM I decided I was too tired to stay on the computer, so I laid down on my bed... and at the ceiling I stared... and stared... and stared... until I couldn't take it anymore at 4 in the morning, so I took out a random (but PRETTY! :D) manga from the 40 or so that I brought back from my trip (I know...!! O_O;;), which turned out to be Uwasaya by Hosaka Ayumu / Hasumi Natsume (purrrdy new manga from ZERO-SUM / Ichijinsha <33) and started reading/translating it. Noticed there was barely any furigana, but lots of kanji T__T;; so it really slowed me down, particularly at that time of day.

 

From what I've read so far, though, the main character, Uemura Takitarou lives in a 'superficial town,' as he says, and that the person with the most superficial character is really him, because he  'wears' his character-- that's right: he's a cosplayer! Walking down the street, he overhears some girls talking about the rumor of 'Torime no otoko' (the 'night-blind man' or 'man with bird's eyes,' don't know for sure) and wonders what it's about. Later at a convention, he talks to a fellow cosplayer, Kusaka, who always dresses in gothic outfits, and asks her about 'Torime no otoko.' She tells him that he's rumored to be a serial killer who targets solely girls, gouges their eyes out and takes them away. Kusaka wonders whether it's the devil's doing, a government operative, or a conspiracy from beings of a different planet...?

3. I'm kinda afraid of the state my bookshelf is in right now >_>; Like bearmoon, it might collapse on me anytime now...;

phonebooks, artbooks, Japanese, Chinese, French & English language manga, Japanese, American & French fashion mags, countless useless furoku, Chinese, Japanese & Korean DVDs...
4. August 12th10th: heading off to New York, then Boston, and finally Maine for a crazy/silly shopping spree (even MORE manga @.@;; what am I gonna do?! Buy another bookshelf?!) and then visiting my uncle.

I'm kind of angry right now. >_< My father keeps delaying our family trips!! We were supposed to go to New York on August 4th, but now we're leaving on the 11th just because he decided to invite my aunt along; we had planned and bought tickets for our Japan-Vietnam trip during the Christmas holidays, and now it's pushed back to summer '08 because my grandfather (who has already visited both countries more times than I can count) had another trip planned at the same time!

I mean, maybe I'm being a bit... no, very selfish, but I was really looking forward to those trips, particularly Japan. On a side note, I was kind of bored, so I decided to set up my online japanese 本棚 (bookshelf). Go check it out and be jealous! :3 No, just kidding. Seriously, there are SO many titles on my "to buy" list, which is why I can't wait to go to New York and ravage Kinokuniya!! >_>;

P.S. Anyone know a good online place where I could order manga and not overpay on shipping costs? @.@; I live in Canada...

Well this is what being in a good mood does to me... I'm feeling generous and not less lazy than usual at the moment, so I've decided to scan in the first chapter of Butterfly Kiss by Yuuhi Ryuu from Sho-Comi.

Here's a manga review of one of the works by the princess of  shoujo smut, Minami Kanan (because obviously, Shinjou Mayu is the Queen...)! Shiiku Hime comprises of 4 stories, 3 of which center around the characters of, well, Shiiku Hime. They are: Shiiku Hime I, II and III, and Junai Kouza Kemono Shiyou.

Well, here is yet another manga review! This time, it's from a relatively new, thus still unknown mangaka, Motowa Uta, and this is her first manga. What compelled me to buy this manga (it was wrapped in plastic paper) was the clean and cute cover art. This book consists of 5 one-shot stories revolving around one universal theme: love.

Uwa! Finally have some time for myself @_@; So hard these days~ Okay, well I received issues #3-4, 5, 7 and 8 of Sho-Comi a few days ago, but haven't gotten around to reading them until now. I've decided I won't be writing actual (complete) summaries, because well... it's a pain. From now on I'll break the main events of a chapter into points, and I also scanned some pages from the magazine that I translated and edited for your (dear visitors ;3) own viewing pleasure. So here goes:

♥At the end of the previous chapter, Kazuma confesses to Midori that he likes her.
♥At the beginning of this chapter, Midori is shocked and apologizes to Kazuma. She tells him that she sees him as a friend, a brother and a mother (lol) and she didn't know he felt that way at all. He then asks her to see him as a man from now on.
♥Later, Midori is in her bathtub thinking about the latest events (about Tsukasa kissing her all of a sudden, and then Kazuma kissing her as well).
♥Kazuma comes in as she is getting out; as a result, they are facing each other, naked! Kazuma slips and falls on Midori. After some panicking (and nosebleeds from Kazuma), he covers her up and tells her that if he's near the woman he loves and she's naked, then he might want to embrace her! ...and she runs away blushing.
♥The next day, both can't play properly on the soccer field. Midori takes Kazuma away so they can talk alone, and tells him she can't answer his feelings. He asks her if she still loves Hino and she answers that she doesn't know, but that he was her first love.
♥She says she doesn't know how he turned the way he is now, but because she loved the "Tsukasa-kun" from the past, she thinks that even if she's hit, she has to stop him.
♥Kazuma says he's fallen for her again, and that he'll definitely make her notice him one day. He says he'll work hard for that.
♥Midori is embarrassed by Kazuma saying he thinks she's cute, and in her attempt to shut him up, falls on him and they share an accidental kiss!
